The After Party Comedy Sketch Show Is Under Way!

Posted Nov 1, 2010

As we reported a couple of months ago, the  new sketch comedy show on the horizon from Oscar award winner Jamie Foxx and comedic actor Affion Crockett has now arrived!

The new show, tentatively titled The After Party has just started pre-production and is lining up a brand new cast and preparing to get under way.

If you recall, we told you that the show will debut on FOX and will be a new urban inspired sketch- comedy show.  The show will star Crockett and will be executively produced by Foxx and Crockett with two other writers , MadTV creators Fax Bahr and Adam Small.

Crockett was attached to co-write with Carl Jones, a producer on Sony’s animated comedy The Boondocks, on which Jones voiced characters alongside Crockett and also served as a producer.

The most recent news that we also have is that the other potential cast members who were set to star in the project are no longer attached.

Foxx is executive producing alongside Small, Bahr, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum as well as Marcus King and Jaime Rucker King, Foxx’s managers and producing partners at Foxx King Entertainment.

Foxx, who co-created, produced and top lined The Jamie Foxx Show, had another sketch-comedy show with Bahr and Small in development last year at MTV.

Small and Bahr’s series credits also include Chocolate News and Blue Collar TV.

Stay tuned for more info as we learn it!
