Hulu is dialing up the laughs and the star power with its upcoming comedy pilot Group Chat, and the latest casting news confirms that actress Yaya DaCosta has officially joined the ensemble alongside Melanie Liburd, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and Stephanie Suganami. The series is executive produced by Kenya Barris, La La Anthony, and Kim Kardashian, and is based loosely on Anthony’s bestselling book The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness.
Group Chat is a satirical comedy centered around six successful women in their forties who appear to have conquered Los Angeles—careers, relationships, and social status all intact. But behind the curated perfection lies their private group chat, the real heart of their friendship, where unfiltered truths, wild confessions, and hilarious chaos unfold.
The show promises a sharp, modern take on female friendship, fame, and the curated lives we present to the world. Think Sex and the City meets Insecure, with a digital-age twist.
The cast is as follows;
