We just discovered from the Emmy nomination lists that comedian Wanda Sykes also got two Emmy nominations for her HBO stand up I’ma Be Me. Her HBO special is nominated for both Outstanding Variety, Music, Comedy Special and Outstanding Writing in a Variety Music or Comedy Special.
No word yet on what Sykes plans on doing in the very near future since both her shows The Wanda Sykes Show and her sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine would not be renewed for another season.
We do know that there have been several conversations about several new films, but no word yet on how far along those talks are. Maybe now Sykes’ production company will move her other projects to the forefront.
