Actor, director, Kadeem Hardison was born in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn New York.    His mother was the legendary fashion model and activist, Bethann and his father dealt in art and antiques.  Kadeem became a cultural fixture.   His defining role as Dwayne Wayne on the 80s NBC sitcom, A Different World still resonates with many who never even watched the show.  He has catch phrases and a pair of flip up glasses that even Dwyane Wade acknowledged following Game 4 of the 2012 NBA Finals.   This guy even had a song sung about him by then wife, Chante’ Moore.

Kadeem Hardison gets it in.   Film-wise he’s been featured in School Daze, Def by Temptation, Vampire in Brooklyn, 30 Years to Life, Made of Honor, Escapee, The 6th Man, Drive, Renaissance Man, Panther, The Fantasia Barrino Story, Biker Boyz, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, White Men Can’t Jump and others.

On the small screen Hardison has starred in the sitcoms, Abby and Between Brothers.  He’s guest starred on Living Single, Girlfriends, Under One Roof, Parenthood, Everybody Hates Chris and The Boondocks (where he played himself).  He currently stars as singing sensation, Zendaya’s father on Disney Channel’s K. C. Undercover.
