Mike Epps Lands In New Comedy Film Titled ‘Supercon’!

Posted Jun 22, 2016

Mike Epps has signed on to star in Zak Knutson’s comedy “Supercon,” which follows a rag-tag group of former TV stars and comic book artists, who make their living working at comic-con conventions, who decide to steal the loot from a crooked promoter and an overbearing former TV icon.

Cameras are set to roll starting next week in New Orleans.

“Having Mike attached to this project is a comedic homerun for me. Mike’s hilarious improvisational skills will help elevate the script and make working with him a real pleasure,” said director Knutson.

Gold Star Films Joey Tufaro is producing alongside MOmentum Productions Susan Gorrell and Maria McDonald.

Epps can currently be seen in ABC’s comedy “Uncle Buck,” which had the network’s highest comedy debut in nine years. He is also starring in the Starz Network’s “Survivors Remorse,” which returns next month.

He also stars in the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic.

Epps is represented by CAA and managed by Industry Entertainment’s, Dan Spilo.
