LMAO Founder Launches New Division Of The American Basketball Association!

Posted Aug 5, 2011

We just discovered that the founder of the new website and comedy tours the Laugh My A** Off series,  Director Deon Taylor, is about to start a brand new basketball league titled the American Basketball Association Classics, a new division of the ABA!

As we reported last week, Deon Taylor Enterprises is launching a new comedy series of DVDs and specials to coincide with the website http://www.lmaocomedyseries.com and the first comedian that they have picked up to film is comedian Tony Roberts, with an eye on a couple of other comedians to follow that one hour special.

Anyway, our sources say that the new league is going to consist of 12 teams, comprised of professional basketball players drawn from top ABA players, former NBA players, former NCAA players, and the streets, rec leagues, and playgrounds of the world, that will compete for the ABA Classics Division championship title and their share of a substantial prize money purse.

We also hear that Julius “Dr. J” Ervin is a part of this league, but we are trying to confirm. We do know that J Erving (The son) is involved with this new venture.

If you are not familiar with the ABA, the ABA is the largest professional sports league in the US with over ninety (90) teams based in the US and internationally. It is also the most diverse professional sports league in history with over 75% of its teams owned by women and minorities. The ABA has made professional basketball fan-friendly and affordable and it teams are committed to working closely with the youth in their communities. The ABA provides over 1000 players, 200 coaches and 200 referees the opportunity to work and compete at the professional level.

Stay tuned for the official announcement next week and interviews!
