Via press release from NBC, on November 2, Kerry Washington will make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut. That’s right, it’ll be the very first time she’s ever hosted the late-night variety series, likely due to a surge in her popularity thanks to the hit show she stars in, Scandal, which she was nominated for an Emmy Award this year.
Eminem will return for his sixth appearance as musical guest, with his new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, set for release on November 5.
Has SNL ever spoofed Scandal? I’m not a regular viewer of the comedy show, but I’d assume that, with Scandal’sgrowing popularity over the last year especially, it would be on Lorne Michaels’ short list of TV shows to spoof on SNL.
