We just discovered that comedian DeRay Davis, who most recently was cast in several films including Imagine That and the upcoming film Jumping The Broom, has just landed his first major television role as part of the new cast of the new 21 Jump Street! Davis will join actors Ice Cube, Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Brie Larson in the big-screen adaptation of the popular TV cop drama that debuted in the late 80’s.
In other shocking news, we hear Davis will play the villain- a character named Domingo, who we hear is described as “a leader of a biker gang that doubles as a drug ring.”
We also hear that the cast and crew settle into New Orleans, LA, where the film will be shot.
All of this is shaping up to be a pretty interesting time for Davis for the big screen, the little screen and on stage. Why do we say that? Well we also hear that he may be part of the 20 city tour that is currently being organized by Codeblack Entertainment under the Shaq Comedy All Stars banner. No official word has been released on this yet, but we will let you know as soon as we know.
