Tiffany Haddish is back in the spotlight with a bold new role in the upcoming action-comedy Double Crossed, where she stars alongside Isla Fisher in what promises to be a wild, high-octane ride. The film, currently being pitched to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival, is already generating buzz for its unique premise and powerhouse cast.
In Double Crossed, Haddish and Fisher play Niki and Lara—two women with completely opposite personalities who discover, at their husband’s funeral, that they were both married to the same man. What begins as a shocking revelation quickly spirals into a dangerous road trip as the duo uncovers layers of secrets and deception surrounding the man they thought they knew. The film blends sharp humor with explosive action, setting the stage for a genre-bending adventure.
Directed by Kestrin Pantera (Pretty Problems) and written by Shelby Enlow, Double Crossed is being produced by Zero Gravity and A Higher Standard, with principal photography slated to begin in early 2026. The production team includes Mark Williams, Allie Loh, Orien Richman, and Jeffrey Greenstein, with Thayer Juergens executive producing and Rebecca Raichek overseeing development.
