*Disney+ has announced a premiere date for the fourth and final season of “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.”

The animated series will return July 29, bringing Penny Proud and her family back for one last chapter ahead of the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Disney+ also revealed plans for an all-new stop-motion holiday special, “A Proud Family Wizmas,” which will debut later this year.

Season 4 finds the Proud family facing major changes as Penny embarks on a series of adventures that challenge her identity and push her into unfamiliar situations. The new episodes promise a mix of comedy, emotion, and unexpected twists while emphasizing the family’s ability to overcome obstacles together, per the news release.

The returning cast includes Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, and JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama. Cedric the Entertainer, Karen Malina White, Soleil Moon Frye, Alisa Reyes, Carlos Mencia, Alvaro Gutierrez, Raquel Lee Bolleau, Marcus T. Paulk and Melissa De Sousa also reprise their roles.

Season 4 will welcome several new guest stars, including Mariah Carey, Romany Malco, Chloe Bailey, Lorraine Toussaint, Kym Whitley, Ali Wong, JB Smoove, and Lashana Lynch. Anthony Anderson and Tiffany Haddish will return as recurring guest voices.

The announcement follows another milestone for creators Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar. Disney Television Animation recently renewed the duo’s overall deal under their BaR Productions banner, allowing them to continue developing and producing projects across Disney Entertainment Television.

Since its revival, “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” has earned multiple NAACP Image Awards, including honors for Outstanding Animated Series. The show has also received a NAMIC Award and a Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series, along with nominations from GLAAD and the Annie Awards.
