After news broke earlier today that Steve Harvey has locked in a new Executive Producer for his new day time talk show, we started to hear some interesting rumors ourselves; we heard that Harvey is not only thinking about retiring from stand up, but we also heard that his radio show The Steve Harvey Morning Show is not too far behind.

For all of our dedicated readers, you would know that we reported this several months ago BEFORE he announced his retirement from stand up, and like we stated then- Harvey has so much on his plate it will be almost impossible for him to continue to do Family Feud, The Steve Harvey Morning Show and his new day time talk show.

Well, according to our sources, we were right about that little item, so now we will have to see about his radio show.

In case you missed the news, here is the report from the Hollywood Reporter about his new day time talk show moving to Chicago and hiring the new Executive Producer for the show;

A TV veteran who previously produced the Tyra Banks Show has been named Executive Producer of the one-hour daily syndicated Steve Harvey talk show which debuts in September, according to an announcement Monday by Barry Wallach, President, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and David Goldberg, Chairman, Endemol North America.

Besides serving as executive producer for The Tyra Banks Show. Alex Duda is Executive Producer on The Style Network’s series Jerseylicious and the spin-off Glam Fairy.Goldberg said her “wide range of producing expertise combined with her grasp of comedy, makes her so perfect for this show. Steve Harvey is a multifaceted comedic performer at the very top of his game and it was imperative that he be matched with someone of his caliber on the other side of the camera.”

“It’s rare to meet a talent with both gravitas and relatability, but Steve Harvey pulls off that quality combo effortlessly. His humor, honesty, and insight will bring a unique new perspective to daytime TV,” said Duda.

“Alex is a dynamic producer with years of daytime experience. She brings a wealth of creativity, vast energy and an enormous amount of passion; all which makes her the perfect executive producer for ‘Steve Harvey’,” said Wallach.

The show will shoot in downtown Chicago at the studios of WMAQ, the NBC affiliate in the Windy City.

NBC 5 will be unveiling our new best-in-class HD studio facility, which will further Illinois’ efforts to bring new film projects to the state, said Larry Wert, President/General Manager NBC 5 Chicago.
