Michael B. Jordan Talks To Oprah Winfrey About Producing Upcoming OWN Series ‘David Makes Man’

Posted Mar 7, 2019

Oprah Winfrey talks to Michael B. Jordan, award-nominated actor of “Black Panther,” “Creed” and “Fruitvale Station” and is executive producer of upcoming OWN drama series “David Makes Man,” in an episode of “SuperSoul Sunday” airing Sunday, March 10 at 11 a.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and will stream on Oprah’s Facebook. The interview is also available on “Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations” podcast. This episode was originally taped during “Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations from Times Square” on February 5.

Michael B. Jordan discusses his sky-rocketing career and why he says his life has already “exceeded his dreams.” Michael’s breakout performance came in 2013’s Fruitvale Station, directed by visionary Ryan Coogler. The duo teamed up again for the Rocky sequel “Creed” and then the mega-blockbuster, “Black Panther.” Michael says after playing superhero villain Erik Killmonger, he went to therapy. “As a man I think we get a lot of slack for, you know, what it is to be masculine. I don’t really subscribe to that because I feel like everybody needs to unpack and talk whether it’s at a therapist or a close friend or family member.” Michael is forging his own path by starting a production company called “Outlier Society Productions,” which guarantees inclusion in all of its casts and crews.
