One year after working out with the LSU football team, comedian Kevin Hart was in Baton Rouge again for more athletic competition.
Thursday, the star of Ride Along and Get Hard went from signing autographs to racing against one of the south’s best athletes, LSU sprinter Jada Martin.
Several cameras recorded video evidence of the encounter. Check it out below:

Hart spent time with Les Miles and the Tigers last July, during which time he went through 1-on-1 receiving drills against his friend Harry Ratchford, according to NOLA.com‘s Jerit Roser.
Martin, who specializes in the 200-yard dash, is an All-American junior for the Tigers.
Halle Berry is in talks to join Kingsman 2, the Matthew Vaughn-directed sequel to the 2015 hit that launched Taron Egerton and grossed over $415 million globally for Fox. Berry is in talks to play the head of the CIA, and the discussion is for a two-picture deal, I’m told. This returns Berry to the Fox fold, where she played Storm in four X-Men films. Berry most recently starred in the Luis Prieto-directed thriller Kidnap, which is scheduled for May release by Relativity.
Vaughn and Jane Goldman wrote the script for the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, and reports have Julianne Moore also in the film. Kingsman 2 is set for release on June 16, 2017. Berry is repped by CAA and Management 360.

Comedian and movie star Kevin Hart was in Birmingham last night to record a TV show for Comedy Central, looking for the next big star to break out of Alabama.
He produced a show on the main stage at Comedy Club Stardome in Hoover that featured Eunice Elliott as hosting comedian, with three comedians from Alabama performing.
“The Stardome was one of the biggest venues I sold out that let me know I could play bigger venues,” Hart said last night.
He said he is good friends with Stardome owner Bruce Ayers, who encouraged him to move on to bigger venues after he repeatedly sold out in Birmingham. “I said, ‘What? I’m killing this sh–!'”
Hart went on to play at arenas and star in movies including “Get Hard,” “Ride Along,” “The Wedding Ringer,” and “Central Intelligence.
Ayers, in an interview with AL.com before the show, said he knew Hart would hit the big time.
“I felt honored that he said this to me, that he felt like when he sold out the Stardome, he knew he made it,” Ayers said. “That’s what we’re hoping to find – the next big star.”
Ayers has helped launch many stars, including Sinbad, Steve Harvey and Ricky Smiley. “They would have made it without me, but I’m happy we played a role,” he said.
Now Hart is paying it forward, trying to help launch other careers.
“Kevin is looking for the next star,” Ayers said. “He’s going to the places that helped him make it.”
Birmingham was the finale of a tour of eight cities where Hart has recorded shows with his production company. Although the show was recorded for Comedy Central, there is no air date scheduled yet.
“I’ve got my producer’s hat on tonight,” Hart said. “I truly believe this is where stars are made. Clubs like this, they’re a launch pad.”
The Alabama comedians featured on Wednesday night were Trey Mack, Jermaine “Funny Maine” Johnson and Rocky Dale Davis, along with Elliott, a morning traffic reporter for WVTM-TV Channel 13.

GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA – Kat Williams was released from jail on $60,000 bond today (March 9), Billboard reports.
The comedian was arrested yesterday (March 8) for threatening his bodyguard while a woman beat him up with a baseball bat. The bodyguard apparently would not do an illegal action that Williams requested of him.
Williams must surrender his passport while awaiting his next court date, stay away from the bodyguard and abstain from drug and alcohol use.
TMZ says that in the hearing, Williams was given two additional felony charges for firearm possession and marijuana possession. This comes on top of the charges for aggravated assault, false imprisonment and terroristic threats that the comedian was already facing.
The site gives more details into what happened with the bodyguard. Williams reportedly ordered the beating and forcibly shaved off the bodyguard’s beard.

Katt Williams was arrested today (March 8) for attacking his bodyguard last month.
According to the Daily News, the comedian threatened to kill Corey Dixon, who had been working for him as a bodyguard. Williams was taken into custody on charges for aggravated assault, false imprisonment and terroristic threats.
Police obtained a search warrant for Williams’ home and reportedly found marijuana and several guns.
Two women were also arrested. Tatiana Smith was taken into custody for beating Dixon with a baseball bat and Lena Smith was incarcerated for felony possession of marijuana.
Williams and the women are in jail in Georgia being held without bail.
Saturday (March 5), the comedian started a fight at a Beanie Sigel concert. This was an incident in a string of events that includes holding five women at gunpoint after they attempted to take a picture with him and a separate arrest for reportedly assaulting an employee at a pool store who Williams says used the N-word towards him.
He is also facing robbery charges with Suge Knight when the pair reportedly stole a celebrity photographer’s camera. Both pled not guilty.

Getting raided by cops at gunpoint is where Katt Williams‘ chick draws the line — Hazel-E says she’s getting out while the getting’s good.
We got Hazel at LAX, right after she got off a plane from Georgia … and she made it clear she and the oft-arrested comedian are officially “on a break.”
You gotta see her describe Katt’s latest bust — the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star was in the house Tuesday when cops showed up to arrest him for allegedly attacking one of his bodyguards.
Hazel addressed the big question everyone’s asking: What the HELL is wrong with Katt lately?
Check out her take — even ride or die chicks have their limits.

After HBO decided not to move forward with the series he and Bashir Salahuddin had set up at the network (“Brothers in Atlanta”), Diallo Riddle (like Salahuddin did last week) found his next project.
Riddle has joined the cast of NBC’s comedy pilot from Marlon Wayans, titled “Marlon,” which is inspired by the actor/comedian’s life.
Wayans will star in (and produce) the series that will follow the escapades of an unfitting but loving father who is committed to successful co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife (to be played by Essence Atkins). Riddle will play a guy who claims to be Wayans’ best friend and “business manager,” but who actually sleeps on Wayans’ couch, and essentially bleeds him.
The comedy series will be produced by Universal Television, 3 Arts and Wayans Brothers Entertainment.
Chris Moynihan will pen the script and executive produce alongside Rick Alvarez and Michael Rotenberg.
Wayans was most recently seen on the big screen in “Fifty Shades of Black.”

Syfy and The Asylum announced today that a 4th film in its successful “Sharknado” movie franchise has begun filming.
Tentatively titled “Shaknado 4,” the film will see Ian Ziering reprise his role as shark-fighting hero Fin Shepard, while Tara Reid is set to return as April Wexler, David Hasselhoff as Gil Shepard and Ryan Newman as Claudia Shepard.
New additions of note include:
– Tommy Davidson (“Black Dynamite,” “In Living Color”), as Aston Reynolds, playboy tech billionaire. Aston is the CEO of tech company Astro-X, developers of a revolutionary energy system that can stabilize the atmosphere and prevent the formation of tornadoes.
– Imani Hakim (“Everybody Hates Chris”), as Gabrielle, a tough and no-nonsense soldier who can take care of herself and isn’t afraid to show what she’s capable of doing.
Joining them are:
– Gary Busey as Wilford Wexler, April’s father and a lead scientist at Astro-X. He’s at the forefront of advances in the field of robotics.
– Cody Linley as Matt, Fin and April’s eldest son. After surviving the first Sharknado, Matt finished flight school and joined the Army. He’s experienced the events of the last six years from afar and longs to reunite with his American Hero father.
– Masiela Lusha as Gemini, Fin’s cousin. Ever resourceful, Gemini is chock full of shark-busting attitude and is ready to dive into the fight once the sharks hit the fan.
– Cheryl Tiegs as Raye, Fin’s mother and Col. Gil Shepard’s ex-wife. Raye is a little bit of a former flower child, but not afraid to speak her mind or protect her family.
Set to premiere on Syfy this July, “Shaknado 4” will take place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in “Shaknado 3: Oh Hell No!” Fin, his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks – and ‘nados! – are being whipped up in places (and ways) least expected…
