Dennis Kimbro, an author and business school professor at Clark Atlanta University, will provide the keynote address at Morris Brown College’s upcoming commencement ceremony.

Nearly two and a half years after a highly publicized car accident killed comedian James “Uncle Jimmy Mack” McNair and put 30 Rock alum Tracy Morgan in a coma, the latter returned to stand-up with his Picking Up The Pieces tour. He then spent most of 2016 on the road, perfecting his followup to 2014’s Bona Fide so that he might find a home for it. Morgan did just that when it was announced Staying Alive would premiere on Netflix sometime in 2017, and as the new trailer above indicates, that time is none other than Tuesday, May 16th.
The new special is chock-full of touching anecdotes, like Morgan’s story about watching his young daughter take her first steps while he was undergoing physical therapy and re-learning how to walk. Then again, as the trailer immediately points out, this is still the very same Tracy Morgan you’ve loved since his days on Saturday Night Live. “When I came out of the coma I was behaving erratically,” he says. “The doctors told me wife, ‘Mrs. Morgan, that’s the brain trauma.’ And my wife looked at the doctors and said, ‘No, that n**** always been crazy!”
Morgan might joke about not remembering what Jack McBrayer’s actual name is. If this Staying Alive trailer is any indication, however, the comic still has plenty of stories to tell from the stage.

2049 is inching closer — Warner Bros. released the official, full-length trailer for the “Blade Runner” sequel, “Blade Runner 2049,” on Monday morning at a live trailer debut event with stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, and director Denis Villeneuve.
The Los Angeles event also included a Q&A with the trio.
“The first film made me question what it meant to be a human being,” Gosling said about the original 1982 movie, directed by Ridley Scott.
Ford return as Deckard — now an ex-LAPD blade runner — in the second installment.
“It’s very interesting visiting a character after some time. … It was a very gratifying experience,” he said at the event.
This trailer follows the first teaser for the film, which was released in December, as well as footage shown at CinemaCon in March.
The explosive trailer opens with another look at Jared Leto’s baddie, a manufacturer of replicants who suffers from a messiah complex. He caresses a just-born, naked android in one shot — the newest addition to a “disposable workforce.”
There’s also a glimpse of Robin Wright’s mysterious character, who wants to maintaining a world separated by kind. “There is an order to things. That’s what we do here,” she says.
Another enigma? Ana de Armas’ character, who appears to be Gosling’s love interest. “I always told you were special,” she tells Officer K in the new trailer.
The sci-fier also stars Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi, and Dave Bautista.
The sequel is set 30 years after the events of the original movie. Gosling plays Los Angeles Police Department Officer K, the new blade runner who unearths the key to the future. He embarks on a quest to find Deckard, who has been missing for three decades.
Hampton Fancher and Michael Green wrote the screenplay, which follows the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples, based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” Scott’s original movie — set in Los Angeles in 2019 — followed Deckard, who pursued replicants that had escaped from an off-world colony.
Frank Giustra and Tim Gamble of Thunderbird Films will serve as executive producers alongside Scott and with Bill Carraro.
Sony Pictures is co-financing the movie with Alcon Entertainment and will distribute it overseas. “Blade Runner 2049” hits theaters on Oct. 6.

David Oyelowo will star in Arc of Justice, playing a doctor who is tried for murder in Detroit in 1925.
Narcos helmer Jose Padilha is directing the film based on Kevin Boyle’s 2004 nonfiction book Arc of Justice: A Saga of Race, Civil Rights, and Murder in the Jazz Age. The story tells the true story of a racial incident in 1925 Detroit that put African American doctor Ossian Sweet (Oyelowo) on the stand for murder for simply defending his newly bought property against a mob of white rioters – where his defense is funded by the nascent NAACP and led by legendary lawyer Clarence Darrow.
The project is financed by The Mark Gordon Company (MGC). Mark Gordon, Hawk Koch, Borenstein and MGC’s Matt Jackson will produce the feature. Josh Clay Phillips will oversee the production for MGC.
UTA and CAA packaged the project, and co-represent the domestic distribution rights.
Oyelowo received critical acclaim for playing another real-life person: Martin Luther King Jr. in Ava Duvernay’s Selma. He was most recently seen in Amma Asante’s A United Kingdom with Rosamund Pike and Disney’s Queen of Katwe with Lupita Nyong’o. His upcoming projects include Nash Edgerton’s untitled directorial project with Charlize Theron and the next Cloverfield movie with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. He’s repped by CAA, Hamilton Hodell in the UK, Inphenate and Schreck Rose.
Padilha is an executive producer of popular Netflix series Narcos, and has directed several episodes. He also helmed the 2014 film Robocop, and the upcoming project Entebbe with Rosamund Pike. He’s repped by CAA and Anonymous Content.

Dave Chappelle has joined Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the Warner Bros. remake of “A Star is Born.”
Cooper is also directing, which marks his feature film helming debut. He is producing through his 22 & Green production company, along with Jon Peters, Bill Gerber, Todd Phillips and Lynette Howell Taylor; with Basil Iwanyk and Ravi Mehta serving as executive producers.
The movie, based on William Wellman’s 1937 film starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, centers on a fading country music star who helps an aspiring singer as his own career spirals downward. James Mason and Judy Garland starred in a 1954 version, and Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson toplined the 1976 pic.
In the remake, Cooper plays Jackson Maine, a country music star on the brink of decline when he discovers a talented unknown named Ally. As the two begin a passionate love affair, he coaxes her into the spotlight, catapulting her to stardom. But as her career quickly eclipses his own, he finds it increasingly hard to handle his fading glory.
Lady Gaga received an Oscar nomination for the song “Til It Happens to You” from “The Hunting Ground.” She has composed and will perform original songs in the film.
The screenplay is by Will Fetters & Bradley Cooper and Eric Roth, based on the story by William A. Wellman and Robert Carson. “A Star Is Born” hits theaters on Sept. 28, 2018.
Chappelle will play Cooper’s oldest friend, who used to perform with him at blues clubs.
Chappelle starred in Spike Lee’s “Chi-Raq.” Netflix released his two, hourlong stand-up comedy specials in March — “Deep in the Heart of Texas,” which was filmed in Austin, and includes the themes of race, bias, and power; and “The Age of Spin,” recorded in Los Angeles last year. Chappelle is repped by Gersh.
