Craig Robinson is returning to The Office — sort of.
The actor — who played warehouse foreman-turned-assistant regional manager Darryl Philbin on the comedy series — has reunited with some of his former castmates for a new ad for AT&T Business. He’s joined by Ellie Kemper, Angela Kinsey, Creed Bratton, and Oscar Nuñez in the spot, dubbed “Wake Up With CrAIg?,” which is part of a campaign to show how the company keeps small businesses connected.
In the commercial (watch it below), Robinson leads the group as they gather to launch a new small business revolving around an AI product dubbed CrAIg, which they humorously try to pronounce incorporating “AI.” It’s “the world’s first AI alarm clock, featuring yours truly,” Robinson notes, that’s designed to motivate and spread good vibes for small business owners.
Over the next year, the campaign will follow Robinson as he works to grow his business. According to AT&T Business: “This campaign isn’t just a one-off moment — it’s a multiyear movement designed to shine a light and celebrate the real journey of small business owners. We wanted to break the mold by bringing beloved cultural icons to the forefront. By casting them as themselves — playing versions of their own entrepreneurial journeys — we create authentic, relatable stories that resonate deeply with small business owners.”
Robinson generated headlines last week when he teased the campaign, saying he was “officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling. Stay tuned. I’m working on something huge.” He followed that up with another post: “Turns out having a dream and building a business with your friends are two VERY different things. I can’t go into detail just yet, but for real though, any help would be huge.” However, that was all part of the new campaign.
This actually marks his second campaign for AT&T Business: Last year, he reunited with former The Office co-stars Jenna Fischer and Rainn Wilson for another campaign, dubbed Sleep With Rain (selling a “talking pillow” with Wilson’s voice. That product is jokingly referenced in the new spot, which debuted Thursday). When Robinson was asked to return for another spot, he said it was “no-brainer,” emphasizing the importance of supporting small-business owners.
“I know some people with small businesses,” Robinson told The Hollywood Reporter. “I have a cousin in Chicago with a small business, and [I am aware of] the unexpected things that happen with a small business — like, take a pandemic or what have you — a lot of times there’s support needed, and it’s just a beautiful thing to know that you can lean on somebody.”
He said that it was easy for him and his former co-stars to pick up right where they left as if no time had passed. The only difference is that while during filming The Office, some of them were just getting married and having kids, and now those kids are grown adults. “The first day, it’s all so exciting, and by the second day, it felt like we’d been together the whole time,” he said.
Robinson said he gets asked frequently about an Office reunion — the show aired for nine seasons, from 2005-13, on NBC and is enjoying a successful afterlife in syndication and streaming — and he hopes this new ad satiates their wishes to some degree.
The actor says he still gets fans who approach him quotes some of his most memorable lines. The two most common are “You need to access your un-crazy side,” which his character told Kelly Kapoor (played by Mindy Kaling), and “pippity poppity gimme da zoppidy,” which Darryl told Michael Scott (Steve Carell) was a “Black man phrase” that Michael could say to make him sound cool.
Robinson says he doesn’t take it for granted that he’s part of something that’s still so universally beloved. He notes that he’s seen people have Office-themed weddings, wear Office-themed Halloween costumes and take part in Office-themed trivia games.

Social media star-turned-actor Andrew Bachelor has joined Shamier Anderson in the upcoming Paramount+ and GameTV satirical mini-series Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story.
Bachelor, also known as King Bach, will play U.S. sprinter Carl Lewis, a fierce rival to Canadian Ben Johnson (Anderson), who in 1988 cheated his way to a gold medal in the 100-meter final at the Seoul Olympics.
Bachelor starred in Netflix comedy Coffee and Kareem, alongside Taraji P. Henson, Ed Helms, and Betty Gilpin, the Netflix horror The Babysitter: Killer Queen with Jenna Ortega, and the romantic comedy Holidate with Emma Roberts and Kristin Chenoweth.
Bachelor will bring his real-life sprinting background while attending Florida State University, and that of his athlete father in Jamaica, to the role. “Carl Lewis was a hero of mine — not just because of his dominance, but because he excelled in multiple events, just like I did. The rivalry between Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis is one of the most iconic in sports history. To be a part of bringing that story to life is an incredible honor and a full-circle moment for me,” he said in a statement.
The six-parter, set to air on Paramount+ and GameTV in Canada in 2026, has also added Kids in the Hall alum Mark McKinney, Karen Robinson, Ennis Esmer, Kristian Bruun, Malaika Hennie Hamadi, Ryan Belleville, Darryl Hinds, Lisa Horner, Emma Hunter, Suresh John, Jonathan Langdon, Gita Miller, Andrew Phung and Dewshane Williams to the ensemble cast.
The Canadian miniseries is produced by New Metric Media and Bay Mills Studios. A synopsis from the producers reads: “Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story is Canadian sprinter Johnson’s definitely-not-biased account of the doping controversy that rocked the 1988 Olympics when he tested positive for banned steroid use, going from hero to zero in 9.79 seconds in what some called “The Dirtiest Race in History”. The series takes a revealing and satirical look at the events surrounding the legendary race and the scandal behind the scandal.”
The series, which has the participation of Ben Johnson, is created by Anthony Q. Farrell (The Office, Shelved, Run the Burbs), who serves as showrunner. He also shares executive producer credits with Mark Montefiore, R.T. Thorne, Anderson, and Stephan James.
Lana Maclin will produce and Max Wolfond is a supervising producer. Cory Bowles and Thorne will direct.

Danai Gurira is reuniting with her Black Panther co-star Michael B. Jordan for the Jordan-fronted reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair.
Jordan is not only starring in the romantic heist thriller but directing as well as producing with his Outlier Society banner. The company’s Elizabeth Raposo is also producing, as is veteran producer Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment.
Production begins Monday in London, and the project just added Academy Award winner Kenneth Branagh and Academy Award nominee Lily Gladstone to its call sheet. Taylor Russell is also in the cast.
The original Thomas Crown, made by United Artists in 1968, starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway and involved a man who organizes bank robberies for sport but meets his match when he falls for (or maybe not) the insurance investigator hot on his tail. The 1999 remake starred Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.
Sources say this time the action is taking place in Europe, while still keeping the art-thieving theme.
Jordan is playing the billionaire with the art-loving sticky fingers, while Russell is the suave private detective. Character details for Gladstone and Branagh are being kept under the umbrella.
Gurira will play Jordan’s confidante.
Amazon MGM has set a March 5, 2027, theatrical release for the romantic thriller.
Drew Pearce wrote the script for Thomas Crown after a previous draft written by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson, which was based on the original film.
Patrick McCormick and Toberoff Productions’ Marc Toberoff will also serve as producers. Alan Trustman, who wrote of the original 1968 film, is an executive producer.
Gurira may be best known for playing Wakandan general and master warrior Okoye in Marvel’s Black Panther and Avengers movies. It was a role for which she won a People’s Choice Award, an NAACP Image Award and a shared SAG Award. She squared off against Jordan in the first Panther, in which the latter played a usurper to the Wakandan throne.
On the small screen, she gained a fan following for playing the katana-wielding zombie killer Michonne in AMC’s The Walking Dead and recently co-created, executive-produced, and starred in last year’s spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
The actress will next be seen in Apple TV+’s upcoming film Matchbox, based on Mattel’s iconic toy vehicle line, opposite John Cena.

Tubi (www.tubitv.com), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced it has partnered with AMC Networks to premiere DEMASCUS, the six-episode half-hour comedic sci-fi series from playwright Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm and AMC Studios that focuses on the title character as a Tubi Original. The limited series is executive produced by Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), via his Gran Via Productions banner and Myki Bajaj of Gran Via. Kirk A. Moore (American Crime, For Life) and Chisholm serve as co-showrunners. The series will premiere exclusively on Tubi Thursday, August 7th.
“We’re excited to introduce audiences to DEMASCUS—a bold, genre-bending blend of comedy and sci-fi that challenges conventions as much as it entertains,” said Samuel Harowitz, SVP of Content Acquisition and Partnerships at Tubi. “At Tubi, we champion stories that surprise, provoke, delight and resonate deeply with engaged fandoms, and DEMASCUS is exactly the kind of original storytelling we’re proud to spotlight.”
“Through his titular character Demascus, Tearrance Chisholm asks one of life’s simplest questions: What does it take to be a good man? And he answers it with some of the most surprising and nuanced revelations one could expect,” said Executive Producer, Mark Johnson. “We thank AMC Studios for sharing our belief in this seriocomic series and Tubi for its steadfast conviction that it belongs on the air.”
DEMASCUS follows Demascus (Okieriete Onaodowan, Station 19), a Black man who goes on a journey of self-discovery using an experimental reality-bending technology. The series is a comedic, genre-defying, coming-of-age story that explores the gulf between Black male perspectives. Also starring are Janet Hubert (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Caleb Eberhardt (Judas and the Black Messiah), Shakira Ja’nai Paye (Single Drunk Female, black-ish) and Martin Lawrence (in a recurring role).
Benin Mtume from Tubi’s Content Acquisition and Partnerships team brokered the deal to bring Demascus to Tubi with AMC Networks’ Mark Dee-Shapland, Senior Vice President of Global Content Sales.

After months of anticipation, “Superman,” the first film in the DC Universe, soars into theaters. Directed by James Gunn, who also wrote the screenplay, the film draws inspiration from the comic book “All-Star Superman” (2005–2008) by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. Gunn is no stranger to adapting comic book properties and uses this comic as a key template for the movie.
Gunn opens the film up, introducing us to an already established Superman who is in good standing with the world. His alter ego finds his voice as a reporter at the Daily Planet while secretly dating Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan). However, as we all know, Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) hates Superman for having the power to do everything but not aligning with Luthor’s own beliefs and wants to rid the world of what he sees as an alien menace.
Out of respect for the fans, I want to keep my review spoiler-free, so let’s start with some of the minor gripes. The film kicks off great with a treat for fans as we meet Krypto and are in for more surprises at the Fortress of Solitude. Superman takes a lot of L’s in the film, and I raised my eyebrow at where the film is going. However, within the first forty-five minutes, I was won over.
David Corenswet effectively embodies Superman from the start. The film skips a lengthy origin story, instead showing him already engaged in heroic acts while navigating the complexities of humanity. This focus on introspection, uncertainty, and emotional conflict enhances the film’s appeal. The audience feels Clark’s burdens, both physically and emotionally. Rather than portraying him as infallible, he is shown as a person with fears and insecurities who chooses to display compassion, even in an unworthy world.
Rachel Brosnahan gives a standout performance as Lois Lane, showcasing a mix of traditional qualities and modern confidence that feels fitting for 2025. Rather than just being a supporting character to Superman, she actively works alongside him in the quest for truth. The chemistry between the two characters is remarkable, adding depth to the overall narrative.
As for Lex Luthor, Nicholas Hoult offers a fresh interpretation of the character. His portrayal presents a tech-oriented antagonist—cold, shrewd, and disturbingly realistic. Rather than relying on kryptonite, he commands influence and projects a formidable ego. One particular scene involving Lex and his cronies is a carefully placed jab at Snyder fans.
If you’ve seen the trailer, then you already know that Isabela Merced has a bit part as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl and that Nathan Fillion, as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, also appears as a member of the Justice League. Both are great on screen, but it’s Edi Gathegi’s portrayal of Mr. Terrific that deserves commendation, as he subtly captures the audience’s attention with a performance that’s calculated, poised, and authoritative—a truly compelling presence.
Skyler Gisondo captures the right amount of charm as Jimmy Olsen, even though the character is somewhat underwritten. Wendell Pierce’s soulful bravado shines through as Perry White.
James Gunn skillfully balances visual spectacle with emotional depth. This film transcends the typical Superman narrative, marking the start of a significant and authentic cinematic journey..
Final Grade: A-
Limited tickets may still be available for tonight’s IMAX screening for Prime Members, so check your local theater. Otherwise, catch Superman in theaters this Thursday.

It’s off to the races for Glen Powell, who stars in the first trailer for The Running Man, Edgar Wright’s adaptation of the Stephen King novel.
The film takes place in the near-future, in which contestants must spend 30 days surviving being hunted by deadly assassins for a chance at an ever-growing cash prize, all while the proceedings are broadcast on TV. Powell stars as a father attempting to help his daughter.
“I have never worked harder on a movie in my life,” said Powell at CinemaCon in April, where he debuted the first footage from the film, which has a Nov. 7 release date from Paramount.
Wright wrote the script with Michael Bacall, basing the work off of King’s 1982 novel that has been praised for predicting the rise of reality TV culture, albeit taking it to the extreme.
The cast also includes William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson with Colman Domingo and Josh Brolin. Simon Kinberg, Nira Park and Wright produce the film.
King’s book was previously adapted into the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie of the same name, with Powell saying he’s received Schwarzenegger’s blessing for the new film, connecting with the action star through his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger. “Arnold gave us his full blessing and we get to give Arnold a very specific, fun gift from the movie,” Powell previously said.

See the trailer below;
Bill Burr is developing a half-hour comedy at Fox based on the life of comedian Earthquake (real name Nathaniel Stroman). It will be titled, wait for it, Earthquake.
Burr is producing the project through his North Hill Productions; 3 Arts Entertainment will also produce through Fox Entertainment Studios. Right now the commitment is just for a script; Burr, Dave Becky, manager Jermaine Smith and (Burr’s producing partner) Mike Bertolina are executive producers.
That’s about all we’ve got for now. Well, aside from the super-long bios provided by Fox.
Earthquake is a comedian, actor, voice artist and radio personality. In 2022, he had an episode of Chappelle’s Home Team, titled “Earthquake: Legendary,” on Netflix. Earthquake was a staple of shows like BET’s Comic View and HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. His specials include About Got Damm Time, Walter Latham Presents, From the Outhouse to the Whitehouse and These Ain’t Jokes for Showtime.
You know Bill Burr. He’s one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time and entered dramatic acting via Breaking Bad. Burr’s own life story, basically, was told through his Netflix animated series F Is for Family. Burr has hosted SNL twice and just wrapped up a Broadway run of Glengarry Glen Ross.
And that’s all the bio you really need.

Oscar, Tony, and Emmy nominee Taraji P. Henson and six-time NAACP Image Award winner Cedric “The Entertainer” will star in a Broadway revival of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone on Broadway next year.
Directed by Golden Globe and four-time Emmy winner Debbie Allen, the Wilson classic will open in spring 2026 at a Shubert theatre to be announced. Additional casting and creative team members will be announced at a later date.
Henson, who was Tony-nominated as a producer of Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, will be making her Broadway performing debut. Cedric “The Entertainer” will be returning to Broadway after making his debut in 2008 in American Buffalo. They will portray wife and husband Bertha Holly and Seth Holly, respectively.
Producer Brian Anthony Moreland, who produced the 2022 revival of Wilson’s The Piano Lesson and last season’s Othello, said in a statement, “We are truly honored to return to August Wilson’s legacy. Joe Turner’s Come and Gone is Wilson’s seminal masterpiece—an unflinching exploration of pain, identity, and hope. With Debbie Allen’s visionary direction and this extraordinary cast, the entire company will present a performance that resonates deeply and lingers in the hearts and minds of all who experience it.”
Set in 1911, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone takes place in a Pittsburgh boarding house run by the steady Seth and the open-hearted Bertha Holly—a refuge for Black travelers navigating the upheaval of the Great Migration. Among them is Herald Loomis, a man searching for his lost wife—and for the self he lost during seven years of illegal enslavement under Joe Turner.
The second play in Wilson’s American Century Cycle, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone is a meditation on memory, community, and the enduring hope of freedom reclaimed.
Director Allen made her Broadway debut in 1970 in Purlie and has since starred in Raisin, Ain’t Misbehavin’, West Side Story, and Sweet Charity. She made her Broadway directorial debut in 2008 with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Terrence Howard, James Earl Jones, and her Tony-winning sister, Phylicia Rashad. It was recently announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that Allen will receive an honorary Oscar at the 2025 Governors Awards later this year. She is also a Kennedy Center Honoree and a two-time Tony nominee.
Henson was most recently seen in Tyler Perry’s Straw for Netflix; her numerous screen credits also include Fight Night, Hustle & Flow, The Color Purple, Hidden Figures, Acrimony, Proud Mary, Annie Live!, Think Like A Man, Think Like A Man Too, Smokin’ Aces, No Good Deed, Empire, Abbott Elementary, and an Oscar-nominated turn in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Cedric “The Entertainer” currently stars in and executive produces the hit CBS comedy The Neighborhood. He made his debut as a novelist with Flipping Boxcars, while on stage, he teamed up with Toni Braxton for Love & Laughter, a music and comedy residency in Las Vegas. His additional screen credits include The Steve Harvey Show, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, The Last O.G., Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Barbershop, The Original Kings of Comedy, and First Reformed.
The original production of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone premiered on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in March 1988, running for 105 performances. Under the direction of Lloyd Richards, the cast included Delroy Lindo and future film star Angela Bassett. The production earned Tony nominations for Best Play, Best Director, Best Featured Actor, and took the Best Featured Actress Tony Award for L. Scott Caldwell.
A revival came to Broadway in 2009 playing just 31 previews and 69 performances at the Belasco Theatre. Despite the brief run, the play was an awards season darling, with Roger Robinson winning the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play and Brian MacDevitt winning the Tony for Best Lighting Design of a Play. The revival earned an additional four nominations, for Best Revival of a Play, Best Direction, Best Scenic Design, and Best Sound Design.
In 2024, Denzel Washington announced that, as a custodian on Wilson’s legacy, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone would be the fourth Wilson play adapted for the screen in his deal with Netflix. Existing films include Fences (2016), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020), and The Piano Lesson (2024). No further film details on Joe Turner’s Come and Gone have been announced at this time. The film versions of Fences and The Piano Lessons were both preceded by Broadway stagings with much of the same cast.
Casting for the forthcoming Broadway revival is by ARC Casting, and 101 Productions, Ltd. is serving as general manager.
