At long last (and boy, do we mean long), FX has a premiere date for the third season of “Atlanta.”
The third season of the Donald Glover-created series will premiere the first two episodes on Thursday, March 24, at 10 p.m. Episodes will be available for next-day streaming on Hulu like all other FX series.
FX will run a new teaser trailer in ESPN and ABC’s slate of NBA games on Christmas Day.
Taking place almost entirely in Europe, Season 3 finds “Earn” (Glover), “Alfred / ‘Paper Boi’” (Brian Tyree Henry), “Darius” (LaKeith Stanfield) and “Van” (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as the group navigates their new surroundings as outsiders, and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to.
It’s been a long wait for the third season of Glover’s claimed series. The second season, which was subtitled “Atlanta Robbin’ Season” aired back in 2018. Over the course of the show’s first two seasons, “Atlanta” was nominated for 22 Emmy Awards and won 5, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Glover.
“Atlanta” is executive produced by Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, Hiro Murai, Stefani Robinson, Paul Simms and Dianne McGunigle. “Atlanta” is produced by FX Productions.
The pandemic and Glover’s busy work schedule made production on the comedy particularly difficult to map out, as Seasons 3 and 4 had been intended to shoot back-to-back after the fourth-season pickup was announced in August 2019.

CBS is developing The Monroes & Tony, a multi-camera family comedy from The Neighborhood team of writer and actor Malik S., star/executive producer Cedric The Entertainer, production companies Kapital Entertainment and TrillTV, and studio, CBS Studios.
Written by Malik, The Monroes & Tony revolves around an ambitious but everyday guy who creates a blended family between his 9-year-old stepson, new wife, and her superstar ex-husband who, despite his fame and wealth, misses the connection of family.
Malik executive produces with Kaplan via Kapital Entertainment, Trilling via her TrillTV, Cedric and Eric Rhone for Bird and a Bear Entertainment, and Peter Principato and Kevin Parker for Artists First. It is too early to tell whether Malik will act in the show.
Malik currently is producer on CBS’ hit comedy The Neighborhood, on which he also recurs in the role of Trey. His previous writing credits include #BlackAF and Cedric’s The Soul Man, in which he also had a recurring role.
The Monroes & Tony stems from the producing partnership former longtime head of CBS comedy Trilling and her TrillTV have with Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. This marks the latest broadcast sale for TrillTV and Kapital this season, joining Full Bloom at ABC, written by an Kopelman & Susanna Wolf; as well as Black In Therapy, from Howard Jordan, Jr., and Tiny Putin, written by Mat Harawitz and Dana Klein, both at CBS.
In addition to The Neighborhood, which is currently airing its fourth season, Cedric also stars in and executive produces The Greatest #At Home Videos, also at CBS. He also co-stars in TBS’ popular comedy series The Last O.G. Recently, he was seen in a dramatic role portraying civil rights leader Ralph Abernathy in the feature Son of the South, and appeared in The Opening Act. He stars in and produces the upcoming sequel to his hit film Johnson Family Vacation. Cedric also hosted the 73rd Emmy Awards in September.

Spider-Man: No Way Home’s popularity is sparking talks of spinoff movies and Jamie Foxx’s Electro could be starring in his own film.
Now that Spider-Man: No Way Home is officially one of the most popular movies in MCU history, it appears that Sony wants to try some spinoff films. It turns out that at least one of the villains from that flick, Electro, could be among the first of the Spider-Man spinoff projects.
Electro first made his big-screen debut in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and made a reappearance with a new look in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The man, who was basically a character with no friends but aspired to be greater in the first film, also seemed to have matured and grown by the time MCU fans got to see him battle Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man.
According to Murphy’s Multiverse Sony’s strategy of creating standalone films based on Spider-Man villains has already worked twice with Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Those two films also showed that centering on historical Spider-Man villains doesn’t require Spidey to appear in the movies in order for them to succeed. The site claims that sources have told it that Sony is going to be creating another villain spinoff centered on Jamie Foxx’s new version of Electro.
Sony reportedly had a provision built into Foxx’s Spider-Man: No Way Home contract that was based on the popularity of the film. Now that it hit that level, the company is looking to make the new spinoff. It’s important to note that there is no indication that an Electro film has even been green-lit yet. What has been established is apparently that should Sony decide to go ahead with the project, Foxx would be locked into playing the character at least one more time.
Over the years, Sony has contracted several different projects that never came to be, so its intention to make this film does not in any way mean that it’s going to come to fruition. While Foxx has yet to address any kind of talk about starring in the spinoff, he has gone on record as greatly preferring the version of Electro that appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Speaking about the new look in the leadup to the film’s release, Foxx said that while he didn’t have any real problem with the blue glow from the first movie, he thinks the appearance in the newest Spider-Man was something he could better “roll with.” It’s extremely likely that the new look will be his appearance if there does happen to be an Electro spinoff.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing in theaters.

Nick Cannon has some major projects in the works for 2022, but for now, fans can enjoy his latest project — his new film that he wrote, directed and starred in called Miracles Across 125th Street.
The holiday film follows a Harlem rapper who wants to confront his past on Christmas Eve by returning to his family’s church after battling drug addiction. The movie has an incredibly funny ensemble cast including hip hop icon Lil Kim, ‘85 South’ co-founder DC Young Fly, Rickey Smiley, Luenell, Todrick Hall, Tommy Davidson, Jim Jones, and more.
“This film is more than just a film — it’s a cultural experience,” he shared. “Being someone who grew up loving our culture in every aspect and having strong influences from the church, gospel, hip hop, and comedy — I was able to put all that in one big pot and come out with a remarkable story that resonates with the holidays. My goal was to create something you can watch year after year even when it isn’t Christmastime.”
“In times where we all go through things and experience life and its hardships, you turn that pain into purpose,” he expressed over Zoom. “I always say you have to smile through the pain and dance through the rain. We’re going to continue to celebrate Zen with our ability to put his light out there through foundations, charitable work, and honoring parents who may have experienced a similar situation from here on out.”
The media mogul, who is known as one of the hardest working men in Hollywood, doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. He recently shared with BET.com that he will be taking Wild N’ Out, his popular MTV comedy improv show, on the road (unless Omicron has other plans) for a summer 2022 tour that is not one to miss.
“It’s already selling out, so if you didn’t get your tickets yet — [just know that] we’re about to take over,” he laughs. “We’re back outside and [Wild ‘n Out, the tour, is going to have that Coachella, Rolling Loud-type vibe. We’re bringing so many artists that you love from previous seasons, your favorite comedians, playing your favorite games from the show — it’s really going to be a festival vibe.”
Available dates start in May, but according to the former Nickelodeon star, that’s not the only way invested fans can be in on the action. “We’ll be casting for the next stars of Wild ‘n Out, the Wild ‘n Out goddesses will be in attendance, there will be activations and, of course, there’ll be so many partners who will be involved.”
He also mentions that we can expect the history and impact of Wild ‘n Out to be “bigger [and] better,” as the tour will be filmed and turned into a big-screen movie.
“I feel like Wild ‘n Out is one of the most culturally important and progressive shows of our time,” he shared. “For two decades, we’ve been putting on for the culture and I don’t think this kind of story has been told. We really want to show the process of how I started a comedy show with rising talents such as Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Deray Davis, and Affion Crockett, who are all now household names. I really want to show how we turned Wild ‘n Out into a global, billion-dollar brand.”

In the world of the new crypto-currency and all of the talk about NFT’s (whether you understand what they are or not), this seems to be the new medium in the very, very near future.
As we look up there are more and more NFT’s popping up everywhere and I guess sooner or later there was going to be one in comedy. Well, now we can add a comedy special to this ever-changing world.
Samson Crouppen is the first comedian that has been able to launch his first comedy special as an NFT; Crouppen directed it, filmed it, edited it, and then prepped it for the NFT launch.
We should also mention that upon the launch he was able to get many folks in the comedy world to support his endeavors, such as Tiffany Haddish and Donnell Rawlings. As of this writing, he was able to sell each NFT for his asking price of $1,000!
Anyway, we got a chance to talk to Crouppen to discuss what an NFT is and how he was able to apply it to comedy, and what it feels like being the first comic to bring it to the market.
See the interview below;
Ok, lets get right to it; Spider-Man: No Way Home is the best Spider-Man movie ever made. Period.
There, I said it.
Now this COULD be debated by many of the Andrew Garfield fans out there who loved his performance in the previous Spider-Man films because of his acting ability (which was phenomenal by the way), and some fans may love the first films which starred Toby Maguire, but you really can’t deny the story, acting, directing-everything of Spider-Man: Now Way Home.
And I didn’t even mention how great Tom Holland and Zendaya were in this film. I stick by my earlier remarks; easily the best film of the Spider-Man universe.
Now, let’s jump to the film; Spider-Man: No Way Home picks up moments after the ending of Far from Home, in which J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) revealed Spider-Man’s secret identity to the world. This bombshell upends the lives of Peter Parker, M.J. (Zendaya), and Ned (Jacob Batalon), even resulting in their applications to M.I.T. getting rejected.
Peter then decides to go see Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and ask for a spell. There is one, but it will cause everyone to forget who Peter is; it would be as if he’d never existed. While they attempt to modify the spell to exclude Peter’s loved ones, things spin out of control. Before long, supervillains from alternate universes descend upon Spider-Man’s world, and his hands are full. He’s going to need some help.
Now, without giving away too much- because this film has a ton of spoilers, Peter eventually is able to get the help he needs while learning several lessons along the way. There are also some tear-jerking moments, but again, that’s giving away too much.
The film wraps with Peter making a choice, after showing a brief dark side, that could lead him to many more adventures.
I walked away thinking that if the studio wanted to wrap up the Tom Holland/Zendaya cast they could because it did sum things up nice and tidy. BUT, Sony/Marvel could open the door to many new possibilities because of the way the film twisted and turned.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was fun, witty, and definitely exciting. I think the spoilers and surprises had me gasp the most as some of them I didn’t see coming a mile away. Either way, this is a film that you have to run to see- not walk, run because you will be very upset if someone ruins it for you on social media. And believe me, there are many folks trying to ruin it for you. Its an experience you want to see in the theaters and this film might actually get everyone back.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently in theaters.
We discovered, thanks to social media, that comedian and actor Flex Alexander has gone back to doing stand-up comedy!
If you are familiar with the actor who is probably best known for his performances on Snakes On A Plane, One On One, and She’s All That, then you know that he started out as a dancer and a stand-up comedian while he was trying to make it in Hollywood as an actor.
Life took over and his career did too, and before you know it, he was a star and his days of doing stand-up and dancing became in his rearview mirror even though many have told us that he had a great chance to succeed if he had continued on doing stand up.
Well, as we previously stated, it looks like the fans may get that chance! Last night we discovered that Flex was at Ontario Improv with comedians Chris Spencer, Ambrea Allan, and David Arnold. Word is he’s working on several big projects on the comedy front too, for 2022. Is he preparing for a comedy special?
Either way, we shall see.
This story is developing….

Former First Lady Michelle Obama breaks bread with the Johnsons in the first photos from black-ish‘s eighth and final season.
As teased in October, Obama will guest-star in the ABC comedy’s Season 8 premiere, titled “That’s What Friends Are For” and airing Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022.
In that episode, Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) convinces Dre (Anthony Anderson) to attend a fundraising event for When We All Vote, in hopes to make some new couple friends (and, you know, to do their part to increase participation in each and every election). Though Dre is convinced there will be nothing but “dud husbands” there to befriend, their expectations are far exceeded when the special guest for the evening is none other than Michelle Obama.
Then, to their greater surprise, the former First Lady accepts an invitation for dinner at their house! But on the evening of the special meal, the rest of the Johnsons all decide to crash the special occasion.
ABC announced last spring that black-ish would end after Season 8. “To all the people in the world I love, honor, respect and care for it is both exciting and bittersweet to share that black-ish been renewed by ABC for it’s eighth… and final season,” Barris posted to Instagram in May. “In this day and age it is rare to get to decide when your show should come to an end, and we are grateful along with ABC to be able to make this final season exactly what we’d hoped for – and to do it with the entire and amazingly stellar cast coming back to close this chapter out with us the right way!”
Obama is not the first political figure to appear on black-ish. Stacey Abrams, the former Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives, lent her voice to an animated election special last October, for which she earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance.
Trevor Noah was clearly not happy with his alleged botched surgery. “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” host reportedly is suing a New York-based doctor and hospital after he underwent the cosmetic surgery.
The 37-year-old filed the lawsuit in the New York County Supreme Court. In the docs, which was filed on November 29, the comedian listed Dr. Riley J Williams III and the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) as the defendants and accused them for “negligence.”
The South African native claimed he underwent the surgery in November 2020 at HSS in New York City. However, the operation seemingly didn’t go well since the TV personality alleged that the doctor and the hospital “were negligent and careless in failing to treat and care for [him] in a careful and skillful manner.”
The lawsuit went on to state that the defendants failed “to use approved methods in general use in the care and treatment” of Trevor and “to inform the plaintiff of the risks, hazards and alternatives to the treatment.”
