Amanda Seales has landed her next gig, signing on as host of Amanda Seales’ Smart Funny & Black Radio on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Radio channel. The weekly hour-long program will kick off Monday, April 18 at 10 a.m. ET on SiriusXM.
Seales will co-host the show with Taj Rani, a producer at Seales’ Smart Funny & Black Productions; and JeremiahLikeTheBible. The trio will kick off the week each Monday with conversations, games, celebrity interviews and commentary on Black culture and other topical issues.
It’s a SiriusXM reunion of sorts for Seales, who hosted Breakfast at Diva’s on the satellite radio network’s Hip Hop Nation from 2003-2007. Since then, she played Tiffany DuBois on HBO’s Insecure and had a stint as a co-host of the syndicated talk show The Real. She also headlined her own HBO stand-up special I Be Knowin.
She is also the creator/host of the live music/game show Smart Funny & Black and hosts the podcast Small Doses.
“After so many years away, I’m hella hype to be coming back to radio!” said Seales. “Smart Funny & Black began as a live show, and since its inception has become so much more. It is a universe all about using comedy to build community, and I couldn’t be happier to be bringing that to a new audience at SiriusXM!”
Laugh Out Loud Radio features stand-up comedy curated by Hart, along with voices and specials from the Laugh Out Loud catalog.
“I’m beyond excited to have the amazing Amanda Seales join Laugh Out Loud Radio’s expanding family, as we continue to deliver a dynamic slate of voices to the channel,” said Hart, Laugh Out Loud’s chairman. “Passionate, unapologetic, brilliant, talented, and most of all funny, her show is going to be a can’t-miss experience for our SiriusXM listeners nationwide.”

According to an exclusive from an industry trade website Variety, it looks like the new Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson’s action-comedy film “The Man From Toronto” is headed to Netflix.
The Sony Pictures production originally dated for an August theatrical release has sold in a worldwide rights deal to the streamer, in all territories barring China. The transfer falls under the exclusive first-look deal Sony signed with Netflix last year, on the heels of its notable windowing agreement with the tech giant in 2021.
The film revolves around a case of a mistaken identity after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the “man from Toronto,” (Harrelson) and a stranger, played by Hart, run into each other at an Airbnb. Chaos soon follows as the assassin’s world comes crashing down on Hart. Netflix will release the film later this year.
Kaley Cuoco, Jasmine Mathews, Lela Loren, Pierson Fode, Jencarlos Canela and Ellen Barkin star alongside Hart and Harrelson. Patrick Hughes, a shockingly good-looking Australian, is directing. His credits include “The Raid,” “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” and “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.”
Robbie Fox and Chris Bremner wrote the script. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch are producing, with executive producers Bill Bannerman, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth.
Announced last April, Netflix won an industry-wide auction for the rights to Sony’s “pay one” post-theatrical window, which previously belonged to the Starz network. Folded into the deal was a first-look arrangement that will see Tom Rothman’s motion picture group make movies exclusively for steaming. Netflix will also be entitled to run select library titles from the Sony vault.

It’s completely proper and understandable to hear the name Snoop Dogg and only think of the man’s many accomplishments as a member of hip hop royalty. But, for many people, that started to change a bit when he began doing things like hosting television shows with his buddy Martha Stewart and working as a Mega Mentor on The Voice. Now, many people also know Snoop Dogg as a great TV personality, and he’s once again taking that skill to another level by hosting Peacock’s So Dumb It’s Criminal, and it’s like COPS meets America’s Funniest Videos in it’s first trailer, which you can see above.
If you’ve already checked out the short trailer, So Dumb It’s Criminal, which premieres on Peacock on April 20 as part of the 2022 TV schedule, will feature Snoop Dogg and a number of comedians / assorted funny people as they watch videos that show individuals doing a lot of really dumb things, AFV-style. But! In the case of this unscripted series, those ridiculous acts actually caused big trouble for some of the parties involved, with their actions putting them on the wrong side of the law…COPS-style.
Right now, the series will have eight, 30-minute episodes (all will be available to stream when the show premieres), with each installment seeing Snoop Dogg and his friends provide commentary and “roast the world’s dumbest criminals using a compilation of crime clips and surveillance videos” to show just how misguided some folks are when it comes to wrong-doing, and “that the worst criminals make for the best jokes.”
While having Snoop Dogg host and act as one of the executive producers is already one of the best ideas, he’ll be joined by famous funny faces like Loni Love (The Real), Deon Cole (black-ish), Jay Pharoah (Saturday Night Live), Ron Funches (The Great North), Deray Davis (Snowfall), Russell Peters (The Indian Detective), and Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), while South Side star Tacarra Williams will be a series regular, and appears to be on the ones and twos as show DJ.
So Dumb It’s Criminal may seem like a bit of an out-of-the-box choice for Snoop Dogg, but, again, the man has been proving more and more that he’s got more than enough personality and wit to keep any show moving along smoothly. Snoop Dogg is, of course, a very obvious choice for shows like the freshman music competition American Song Contest, but, as he noted himself, we see him doing “so many different things” because Snoop loves his job.
Plus, he made quite the streaming splash last summer, when hosting Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart & Snoop Dogg and doing things like laughing about a fancy Olympic horse and learning martial arts from a kid. So, no one can say that Snoop Dogg doesn’t make for great television (even Snoop and Hart’s outtakes were comedy gold), especially when you combine his many talents with a wacky and inventive idea.
Snoop Dogg’s new show, So Dumb It’s Criminal, will hit Peacock on Wednesday, April 20.

According to our sources, we hear that comedian and actor Cedric The Entertainer, who recently took a break from filming on his hit CBS sitcom The Neighborhood, has paired up with the R&B singer Ashanti for a new film titled The Plus One.
We hear the film is a romantic comedy as Ashanti (who is also an Executive Producer of the film), plays Lizzie who is about to get married but her upcoming wedding is about to get interrupted by her arch-nemesis. Cedric The Entertainer plays her father in the film.
You may not know, but several days ago Ashanti was honored at her Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony in Los Angeles honoring all of her lifetime achievements.
We also hear that they are now filming, and the film may possibly land on Netflix- but that part has been unconfirmed as of this writing.
