Posted Oct 25, 2012

We were able to confirm from our sources that actor Brandon T. Jackson (of Lottery Ticket and Big Momma’s House 3 fame  just to name a few) is in final negotiations to land the pivotal role of the son of Axel Foley in the new Beverly Hills Cop television series for CBS!

As we stated several weeks ago we told you he was the favorite to land the part, and our sources confirmed the story to us!

In case you hadn’t heard, the new series will revolve around Axel Foley’s son who is trying to escape the shadow of his father (Murphy) who is now Chief Of Police in Detroit.

The Beverly Hills Cop franchise yielded three features starring Murphy in 1984, ’87 and 1994, and the new television show will be centered around Foley’s son, Aaron Foley who is a blue-collar cop who is also on the force and struggling to escape the shadow of his father.

The show will be broadcast on CBS and will be an adaptation from Shawn Ryan, and will also star Eddie Murphy in a recurring role.

Ryan and Murphy are exec producers with Marney Hochman of Ryan’s Sony-based Midd Kid Productions.
