We just confirmed from our sources that the highly anticipated show The Real Husbands Of Hollywood starring Kevin Hart has begun filming in Hollywood today!
The show, a spin-off of the sketches that were produced for the 2011 BET Awards starred Kevin Hart, Nelly, Nick Cannon, Bobby Brown, Anthony Anderson, Jermaine Dupri, and Tammi Roman just to name a few, was so well received during and after the Awards that the sketches eventually became a show. The popularity of the sketches grew virally, and many were looking for the sketches during this year’s awards.
For this year’s 2012 BET Awards, BET was able to create a continuation of the sketches along with the new Host which was Samuel L Jackson. The new sketches included Anthony Anderson and Faizon Love (both of whom we hear may sign on to do Real Husbands) but did not include many of the cast members from the previous year except for Hart. Having Hart in the sketches at that time made a lot of sense since he was the only original cast member who officially signed on to star in the new show.
The show, created by Ralph Farquhar, Kevin Hart and Chris Spencer will have tons of celebrities who will guest star on the show. Our sources have stated that the celebrities who will show up will range from many of Kevin Hart’s friends who he has worked with in the past. With that being said the cameras will always be near Hart since he is ramping up filming Think Like A Man 2, (which has the entire cast back like Taraji P Henson, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union, Romany Falco, and Gary Owen) and the remake of About Last Night (which will star Michael Ealy and Regina Hall). As you already know, those are just SOME of the films Hart is involved in right now and the cameras will be following him as he Hosts the MTV Video Music Awards (like we told you over a week ago).
As of this writing, we hear that the producers are lining up lots of these celebrity friends to appear on the show since that cameras will be following him anyway. Oh yeah, let’s not forget Hart’s pro athlete friends like Lebron James and Dwayne Wade who Hart has a great relationship with, who may also stop by. As you can see, this show is setting up to be celebrity star studded.
This show is currently being produced by Jesse Collins (2012 BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards and Hart Beat Productions. The Real Husbands Of Hollywood is set to debut during the Spring of 2013.
