Comedian Jeff Garcia’s energetic and unmistakable voice helped define a generation of animated favorites. He brought life to Sheen Estevez, the eccentric sidekick in Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and its Nickelodeon spinoff Planet Sheen. His work extended to other major projects, including Barnyard, Happy Feet 2, and Rio, cementing his place as one of the most recognizable voices in early 2000s animation.
Garcia died on December 10, 2025, at a Southern California hospital after being taken off life support. He had been hospitalized in late November with pneumonia, and after being discharged, his condition worsened. He was readmitted with breathing difficulties and later suffered a collapsed lung. Earlier in the year, Garcia had also endured a brain aneurysm and a stroke, which contributed to his declining health.
His son, Jojo Garcia, confirmed the news in a heartfelt Instagram post:
“With a very heavy heart, I would like to inform everybody that my father, Jeff Garcia, has passed away. My father was a unique soul. He was unapologetically himself, and I will always admire the love, compassion, and drive that he had. He taught me so much and gave me advice that I live by every single day.”
In addition to his voice work, Garcia was a stand-up comedian with a fiercely loyal fanbase. His quick-fire delivery and brash humor made him a staple in comedy clubs across the country. He often blended personal stories with sharp satire, earning respect both as a performer and as a storyteller.
