According to several industry websites, it looks like comedian Cedric The Entertainer and Sinbad has just joined the animated cast of Disney’s new film titled Planes.
The top billed cast so far includes Dane Cook, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anthony Edwards, Val Kilmer, and John Cleese in a film that is being described as being an airborne version of Cars.
The film has Cook as an afraid-of-heights airplane that aspires to be a racer, features Louis-Dreyfus as Rochelle, “a tough and confident racer,” while Ced is “a puttering old biplane” and Kilmer and fellow Top Gun actor Edwards as jet airplanes.
The cast is rounded out by actors Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Roger Craig Smith, Gabriel Iglesias, Oliver Kalkofe, Colin Cowherd, and Brent Musburger.
Planes, directed by Klay Hall, is scheduled for release on August 9th.
