Amazon MGM Studios is turning up the heat for its highly anticipated sequel Road House 2, adding three dynamic talents to the cast: Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, Iko Uwais, and Hidetoshi Nishijima. The trio joins returning star Jake Gyllenhaal, who reprises his role as ex-UFC fighter–turned–barroom bouncer Dalton, in what promises to be a bigger, bolder follow-up to the 2024 reboot of the ‘80s cult classic.
Andrew Bachelor, best known for his viral comedy and breakout roles in films like Violent Night 2, brings his signature charisma and comedic timing to the action-heavy franchise. While character details remain under wraps, Bachelor’s casting hints at a blend of humor and high-octane energy in the sequel.
Joining him is Indonesian martial arts star Iko Uwais, famed for his electrifying performances in The Raid films and Stuber. His inclusion signals that Road House 2 will lean even further into intense, choreographed fight sequences. Japanese actor Hidetoshi Nishijima, acclaimed for his role in the Oscar-winning Drive My Car, adds dramatic weight and international flair to the ensemble.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller and written by Will Beall, the sequel is described as a production of “greater scope, scale, and ambition.” Filming is set to take place across the U.K., Malta, and Savannah, Georgia. The film will also feature a lineup of real-life fighters, including Rico Verhoeven, Michael Chandler, Michael “Venom” Page, Dustin Poirier, Stephen Thompson, and Tyron Woodley, alongside returning cast member Jay Hieron as Jax “Jetway” Harris.
