Will Django Unchained Have A Prequel? Producer Reggie Hudlin Weighs In!

Posted Dec 20, 2012

reginald-hudlinHere is an interview we conducted with Hollywood Executive Reggie Hudlin, probably best known as the Director of such iconic films like House Party, Boomerang, and Executive Producer of The Boondocks (just to name a few). We call him a Hollywood Executive because he is one of the very few folks in Hollywood who doesn’t fit in a box. He is truly what is called a “hyphenate” as he is a Director, writer, producer and TV executive. Did you forget about his stint at BET as President of Entertainment? During that short term of being behind a desk, he was able to kick off several projects under their umbrella that eventually led him back to the world of the big screen. Or did you even know he is heavily into the world of comic books and wrote the iconic series for Marvel, for the Black Panther where the character wed the X-Men Character named Storm (which raised a ton of eye brows!)?

Well, Hudlin has been around for years and as you can probably tell he has his hands in many things.  Most recently he came on board for the new film Django Unchained which is an upcoming western film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson.

In this new interview we conducted with Hudlin, he discusses how he got involved with the film, how he started his journey with Tarantino and what his thoughts are on all of the criticism that has crept up about Django. He even discloses his thoughts on the possibility on the prequel. Check out the interview below;
