The comedian known as Sydney Castillo, probably best known from the new show titled Prank My Mom, Hell Date and as a writer for the 2009 BET Awards, has just closed a deal with Russell Simmons to launch a new web series!
Simmons’ new venture, an online media company, is titled All Def Digital which is the production company behind Castillo’s new series. The new company focuses on launching cutting edge online television and musical content.
Its the first project that Castillo has sold and Executive Produced, and he also gets a chance to bring along some friends; James Davis (Of Real Husbands Of Hollywood fame) and Tone Bell (of Whitney fame).
The name of the new six part series is titled The Green Room and is comedy-based web series that focuses on the journeys of three of today’s hottest comedians, Castillo, Davis, and Bell. The Green Room provides fans with an honest and hilarious sneak peak into the real lives of the comics as they continue their road to success. Fans observe as each comic attempts to balance their dating and professional lives with oftentimes hilariously funny outcomes.
