Debuting today, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah‘s Roy Wood Jr.’s new digital original series The Night Pigeon tells the hilarious story of a black superhero with minimal powers fighting the biggest villains in his community, The Gentrifiers. The first episode, Too Late To Be Great, follows Luke Rage (Roy Wood Jr.) and Night Pigeon who fight crimes that the more bougie superheroes can’t be bothered to deal with. They find themselves in a sticky situation after saving a bodega from an armed robber. Roy Wood Jr. writes and stars in the digital series, which is a continuation of his comedic superhero universe started with the successful sketch The Avenging Ones.
Following the series premiere, new episodes will be available Saturday 5/4 and Sunday 5/5 at 12pm ET on the Comedy Central YouTube Channel.
