As we have been reporting, Ride Along 2 is coming quickly, and the studio execs over at Universal are trying to get this Kevin Hart and Ice Cube buddy flick to the market quickly.
Either way, we discovered the news that filming has begun today.
As reported casting has been underway, as Benjamin Bratt (of 24: Live Another Day) actress/former comedian Olivia Munn (of the new film Deliver Us from Evil and HBO’s The Newsroom) and Ken Jeong (NBC’s Community and The Hangover trilogy) are all on board.
The film has Tim Story (from the original film and Think Like A Man Too) returning to direct.
Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi are on board as the writers as the story is still being kept under wraps. Cube and Matt Alvarez will produce the new film for Cube Vision alongside Will Packer for his new production arm, Will Packer Productions, as the film is set to be released on Jan. 15, 2016.
