Reports out of the New York press this morning is stating that comedians and actors Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock and actor Idris Elba are reportedly among the stars in the race for the lead role in director Paul Feig’s (of Bridesmaids fame) new movie titled The Intouchables.
The movie is a remake of a French film in which star Omar Sy plays Driss, a petty criminal who is hired to care for a quadriplegic aristocrat. In case you are not familiar with the film, the original has been a big success and became the second highest grossing French film of all time at the French box office.
Word is that My Week With Marilyn star Michelle Williams and The Help’s Jessica Chastain are in the running for the part.
