Several websites are reporting that Will Smith’s daughter and new pop star Willow Smith, is reportedly about to star in the new Broadway musical Annie!
Since she’s an already proven star with her hit Whip My Hair, it seems that there is going to be a modern twist to the musical, and we hear that hip hop icon Jaz Z is even on board for the update! It looks like the new musical may incorporate Jigga’s hit It’s the Hard-Knock Life, which was one of his most popular hits and was sampled by him Jay-Z on his third album, Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life.
If you are not familiar with the original Broadway production of Annie, it was based on the comic, Little Orphan Annie, which opened in 1977, and ran for close to 6 years, inspiring several productions in other countries.
