We just discovered that comedian Gary Owen, currently the host of The Shaq Comedy All Star Jam that is touring the country, has just landed a new role in the new film titled Ride Along!
The film also stars Kevin Hart, Ice Cube, and John Leguizamo with Tim Story (of Think Like A Man and Barbershop fame) directing. The film is about a schoolteacher who must survive a nightmarish “ride along” with his fiancee’s cop brother who disapproves of the marriage.
Ice Cube is producing the film through his Cube Vision banner with partner Matt Alvarez and Will Packer from Rainforest Films.
Up next for Owen is the new show with Shaquille O’Neal on TruTV titled Upload with Shaquille O’Neal which debuts in the Spring of 2013.
