EXCLUSIVE-Ricky Harris To Revive DJ EZ D*ck For New Comedy Compilation CD!

Posted Sep 5, 2012

If you are a fan of comedy and hip hop/rap music it’s extremely difficult to not know who comedian Ricky Harris is, especially when WBALZ dropped on the now infamous CD from Snoop Doggy Dogg’s debut CD Doggystyle. Harris’ DJ name as DJ EZ D*ck on the station WBALZ still rings in the halls of hip hop fame from that debut CD that was brilliantly produced by Dr. Dre.

For those of you not familiar with the Doggystyle CD or the immediate follow up of Murder Was The Case, DJ EZ D*ck announced some tracks as if he was on a station that was titled WBALZ and the CD ended up being one of the highest selling debuts in hip hop history with over 20 million units sold making Snoop Doggy Dogg and Death Row Records a household name, while also cementing Snoop’s crew from Long Beach, California, The LBC right along for the ride.

While all of that was going on, comedian by the name of Ricky Harris was making a name for himself by becoming a comedic star on HBO’s first season of Russel Simmons Presents Def Comedy Jam, and eventually booking some serious roles in such films as Heat (with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino) and Tales From Da Hood (with Clarence Williams III and Joe Torry). Fans of Harris immediately recognize his characteristic voice, as Harris had used his voicing talent to Doggystyle. With this and Harris lending his voicing talents to Doggystyle, Harris’ name immediately became cemented in with the fame from Def Comedy Jam and as DJ EZ D*ck on WBALZ.

Now fast forward to today, and we have discovered that Harris is coming back with a brand new comedy compilation CD to be produced by the Laff Mobb (and also produced by Harris), under the direction of Bob Sumner, former exec at Def Comedy Jam! We discovered that the new CD will be similar to Murder Was The Case, and will again be hosted by Harris as DJ EZ D*ck on the fictional station WBALZ, and will have various artists on it from The LBC! The CD will be released in 2 volumes and we hear that there will be several huge surprises on each!

No release date just yet, but expect a major announcement on this to be made soon!
