As we reported a couple of weeks ago, MTV is moving ahead with plans to bring back Nick Cannon’s Wild’N Out after a five year hiatus. We heard that the show is gearing up for a 2013 run as Cannon and producers are in the process of now hiring the comedians who will be on the show. As of the last couple of days, we heard that several comedians have had some call backs and that the producers are starting to hire some of the former cast.
Well, as of this writing, one of the pieces of the show may have already been revealed as we hear that comedian Corey Holcomb is closing in on a deal to bring him back to the show.
We also discovered that Holcomb will not be the only former member of the cast to come back; the show will bring back several others, and we heard that some of them have already been contacted but we are not sure yet on who that is.
It seems that the new Wild’ N Out will have some old cast members while introducing new cast members.
Cannon created, produced and hosted Wild’N Out on MTV from 2005-2007 which also starred other comedians such as DeRayDavis, Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Holcomb and Affion Crockett just to name a few. The show featured comics that were placed on teams that went head-to-head in sketches on the original run of the show.
Candida Boyette Clemons and Paul Ricci will serve as MTV2’s executive producers for the new Nick Cannon Present’s Wild ‘N Out and Cannon and Michael Goldman will executive produce for NCredible Entertainment.
