According to several industry websites, it looks like comedian and actor Damon Wayans Jr. is heading back to the show New Girl, as he is now an official cast member! The show stars Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson and Hannah Simone.
If you recall, Wayans was in the 2011 pilot, but had to pull out of the comedy when it was ordered to series because of being booked for ABC’s Happy Endings. But now since Happy Endings ended after three seasons in 2013, and after an appearance in 17 consecutive episodes of the third season of New Girl, it looks like coming back was an easy transition and a no brainier, as the cancellation freed up Wayans to return to the show.
