We just discovered that comedic actor Ralph Harris (Of Dreamgirls and On Our Own fame) has landed on the new culinary show on TV One titled My Momma Throws Down.
My Momma Throws Down (produced by Triage Entertainment, who also produces Iron Chef America) is a fast-paced cooking contest featuring weekly face-offs between kitchen matriarchs to see who will be named the reigning queen of home cuisine. Backed by a lively team of family supporters, the mothers will demonstrate their skills in the kitchen, as they race against the clock to put their personal spin on classic dishes. A rotating panel of judges made up of culinary experts and celebrities decide each week which contestant deserves the win.
TV One is also running a special pre-Mother’s Day celebration on May 6th from 8-10pm ET, airing three episodes of My Momma Throws Down back-to-back. We hear that the series premieres Friday May 4th at 8pm.
