Comedian Jo Koy Talks On His Start In Comedy And Racism From Family Being Half Asian

Comedian Jo Koy started his career in comedy right after high school when he decided to move to the luminous city of Las Vegas from Seattle. Influenced by Eddie Murphy’s Delirious, he says he was motivated to pursue the world of comedy and like most comics, bombed his first try. Still determined to make it big, he says a major opportunity landed on his lap when he was asked to perform a short set for Comic View on the Road when the booked comedians ran late. After that, Koy’s lucky streak kept running full speed when he won a competition at the legendary Apollo stage.
