Cedric The Entertainer To Be Honored By The Brotherhood Crusade For African American Achievements!

Cedric The EntertainerMore than one thousand guests are expected to attend the Brotherhood Crusade’s 46th Annual Bremond-Bakewell Pioneer of African American Achievement Awards Gala, honoring award-winning actor, writer, producer, philanthropist and St. Louis native Cedric the Entertainer next Friday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Cedric is being honored for his continued community service through the Kyles Family Foundation – an organization he founded – which provides life and social skills development, educational enrichment and program support to enhance and improve the lives of at-risk youth and their families.

“The team at the Brotherhood Crusade does such amazing work every day for our youth — They are on-the-ground daily inspiring, teaching, care-taking , and validating our young people through several great programs,” Cedric said. “My charitable partnership with this top-notch organization is based on our mutual commitment to giving back.”

The Brotherhood Crusade is a not-for-profit, human and social services organization founded in 1968 and based in South Los Angeles.

“For me, it’s an incredible compliment and a profound honor to be the recipient of their 2014 Pioneer of African-American Achievement Award.”
